More Than Just Music
Music Appreciation
This boosts concentration skills, self-discipline and improves the student’s observational abilities and social skills too. It initiates an organized thought process for the brain through listening to songs, learning about the composers, the origin of the song and its musicality on a deeper level.
Academic Skills
Encourages creative and critical thinking along with strengthening the students’ communicative and collaborative skills through designated tasks and group activities.
Poetry & Music
Focuses on bridging the gaps between poetry and music that will lay emphasis on the phonetic aspects of poetry and their inherent musicality which today is celebrated as an artistry known as Sound Poetry.
Musicianship
Imparts specific training in musicianship skills, which include ear training, the accuracy of tonal pitch, rhythmic skills, notation, improving vocal timbre, compositional and performing skills.
Ensemble Music
To reinforce lessons learned with a focus on performance dynamics, articulation, theatrical components, endorsing discipline, and teamwork.
Cognition & Memory
Using music as an interventional tool to boost cognitive and memory skills in students.
Personality
Development
Honing the social and emotional skills of the students, while focusing on improving communication, confidence and building initiative driven, empathy bound attributes.
Vocal Training
Understanding how to nurture and preserve the voice, through age-specific vocal training.

Psychologist

Basics of Hindustani Classical music genre, along with folklore music, learning the cultural and social impact of the art forms, along with technical concepts like the notes, scales, and compositions.

"It has been a dream run for me with more than 60 movies across different Indian languages and over 300 songs. I feel it is time I gave back to the people who made me who I am today.

Through Shaan Rahman Music Conservatory, or SRMC, as we fondly call it, we strive to bring world-class education in Music and related Arts to one and all. We want to create a community of students and artists where they find camaraderie in ensembles, learn, teach and learn again together at the studio and in classes; creating lifelong bonds through the joy of performances, experiments, and the study of music.
